SATELLITE IMAGE
Area: North Slope of Alaska
Source: LANDSAT Multi-Spectral Scanner (MSS)
Resolution: 100 meters
This is a spectrally enhanced 100-meter pixel-resolution Landsat-MSS mosaic of Alaska's North Slope. This 2-band composite contains 2 Landsat-MSS spectral channels: image band-1 contains Landsat MSS channel-2, image band-2 contains Landsat MSS channel-4. Twenty-three Landsat-MSS scenes, acquired between 1977-1986, were used to create this geographically extensive composite image. This 100m-resolution image is a direct resampling of a 50m-resolution parent image to reduce the image file size for applications that do not require the higher 50m spatial resolution.
