nawqa_sta is a point coverage of USGS streamflow-gaging stations in the Cook
Inlet National Water-Quality Assessment (NAWQA) study unit. Only stations with
10 or more years of streamflow record are included in this coverage. Items in
the point attribute table include: LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, USGS STATION ID, and
NAME.
The purpose of nawqa_sta is to provide a coverage showing the locations of USGS stream-gaging stations with 10 or more years of record in the Cook Inlet Basin.
Procedures_Used:
The latitude and longitude of each streamflow-gaging station was determined from 1:250,000 maps. The 8-digit USGS station number was assigned by the surface- water specialist of the Alaska District.
