Alaska Surveying and Mapping Conference, Friday, Feb 22

12 noon-1 pm: AGDC Hydro subcommittee/National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) Open Meeting This year's AGDC Hydro subcommittee meeting will take place on Friday, February 22, at the Alaska Surveying and Mapping Conference at from 12 noon-1 PM AKST. The lunch meeting will be an open discussion of hydrography in Alaska, with an overview of the current and ongoing work in Alaska. It will include such topics as statewide coordination, current and ongoing hydrography work, and the future direction of hydrographic mapping in Alaska. The meeting will be attended by staff from Southeast Alaska Hydro (SEAK Hydro) and Southcentral Alaska Hydro (SCAK) Databases, as well as USGS staff representing the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD). You are welcome to attend the lunch meeting even if you are not attending the conference.
There will be a limited amount of sandwiches, chips and iced tea available at the meeting courtesy of the Alaska Arc User Group. Thank you, AAUG!!

NHD Update Toolbar Training, Week of Feb 25
Hank Nelson, USGS NHD Partner Support for Region One, will run a two-day National Hydrography Dataset Training on the NHD Update toolbar v5.0.0 for ArcGIS 10.0 on Feb 25-26. Training will be held at the DNR TIPS Training Room (specifics forthcoming). If there is enough interest, an additional training session may be added Feb 27-28.
