Alaska Geographic Data Committee (AGDC) Introduction Paul Brooks introduced Stanley Ashmore, who is the new AGDC representative from the Minerals Management Service (MMS). DOI High-Priority Lands Initiative Solicitation for FY97 Meeting attendees reviewed the minutes of the last AGDC meeting which was held on February 13. It was agreed that the "wish list" for the FY97 solicitation will remain as noted with some change in wording. The list now reads as follows: * Complete revised digital hydrography statewide * Complete 1:63,360-scale DEM coverage statewide * Complete revised digital transportation layer statewide * Complete revised PLSS and boundary layers statewide * Complete 1:63,360-scale digital raster graphics (DRG) statewide * Complete digital orthophotoquads (DOQ) statewide Action Items: A draft letter will distributed with these meeting minutes that will serve as an example for the respective agencies and departments in preparing their own letter of support for the AGDC to the IGDC Chair. A letter will be prepared and sent to Deborah Williams, Special Assistant to the Secretary; and to Fran Ulmer, Lieutenant Governor, State of Alaska, for their signature of support for the activities of the AGDC that will be forwarded to the IGDC Chair. A letter will be sent from the AGDC to the IGDC Chair identifying the spatial data requirements associated with the FY97 solicitation. Alaska Geospatial Data Program Initiative Members were provided with a copy of the Alaska Geospatial Data Program Initiative for review and update. This proposal will be resubmitted for reconsideration with the support of Deborah Williams. Action Item: Members will review this document and provide comments and suggestions to Paul Brooks within the next two days. |
